Frequently Asked Questions

How is Standard First Aid different from Emergency First Aid?
Standard First Aid is more comprehensive—two days instead of one—and includes additional topics (e.g., head/spine injuries, more detailed wound and fracture care, environmental emergencies).

Does this include CPR-C?
Yes. Standard First Aid typically includes CPR-C with AED (adult, child, infant). Some locations may offer CPR-A as an alternative on request.

Is this certification accepted for my job or program?
Acceptance depends on your province and employer/program. Check the requirements and your city page for any provincial approval details tied to your session.

How long is the certificate valid?
In most programs the certificate is valid for 3 years. Recertification availability depends on provider rules and your current certification status.

Do you offer blended learning?
Yes. Complete theory online at your own pace, then attend an in-person skills day. The certificate is the same as the fully in-class option.

What if I need accommodations?
Let us know in advance. We’ll work with you to provide reasonable accommodations for skills practice and evaluation.
